Synopsis

At a wedding reception the bride's father unintentionally shoots and kills the groom and a few other celebrants as they are leaving the black tent. This leads to a feud between the two largest Bakhtiari tribes, Babadi and Baba Ahmadi. This documentary depicts the confrontation between tradition and modernity in the Bakhtiari territories of southwestern Iran.

 

Director

Born in Kouhrang, Iran in 1975, Fereydoun Najafi received his bachelor's degree in film direction. He has made 6 features and 3 documentaries, mainly on anthropological subjects, which been shown in several international festivals.
