Synopsis
In the 2000-year-old city of Guimarães, in Portugal, three renowned directors, Jean-Luc Godard, Peter Greenaway and Edgar Pêra, consider 3D and its evolution in the world of cinema. How does 3D affect audiences and their perceptions?
"3x3D tries to answer important questions: is 3D only designed for blockbusters and genre films? Can we go beyond its fairground aspect? Can it be useful for auteur, experimental cinema?" -- Léo Soesanto
"The Godard was what most of us were there to see. It's entitled The Three Disasters and is shown in-between the Greenaway (first) and the Pêra (last). This is another of Godard's visual-aural essays in the Histoire(s) du cinéma vein, and the extra dimension adds yet another stimulating layer to his expert mix of film clips, original footage and narration derived from various literary sources." -- Keith Uhlich (Timeout New York)
