Synopsis:
Two little girls (May and August) lived happily with educated dad and beautiful mom at Nanjing in 1930s. Unfortunately, the outbreak of the war totally changed their lives. Women were raped and numerous Chinese were killed. Their parents sacrificed themselves to rescue their innocent children. May and August were left with their relatives and were told that their parents would become ash, cloud and rain which finally dropped into Yangtsz River. May and August believed the legend and went into exile with hundreds orphans. When they passed by Yangtsz River, all the fugitives cried "Mama I Love You!" and said goodbye to their parents. Many Chinese children lost their parents, their childhood.... but not their hope.
