Though my earlier films were shown in Montreal I unfortunately could not attend them because of professional preoccupations. In 2003, I was in Montreal with my film In the Forest Again, my first visit to the Quebec province. During my short visit I have enjoyed the ambience - a very European city in North America, especially the Vieux Montr�al area. A short cruise organized by the Festival committee on St. Lawrence river was an exhilarating experience. The Montreal World Film Festival is truly global where one can find the best of films from all continents. Last but not the least my true appreciation to Serge Losique and Dani�le Cauchard for their love for meaningful experimental cinema.

My best wishes for the 30^th Anniversary of the festival and am looking forward to many more exciting years to come.
