Synopsis
As World War I draws to a close, a group of clairvoyants committed to restoring Polish independence gather in a hotel room for a special séance, using their power to save Jan Paderewski, the legendary pianist and symbolic leader of a successful patriotic rebellion, the famous Wielkopolska Uprising. At the same time, a hostile medium hired by the Prussian army is trying to influence Paderewski with his negative power. The eerily whirring table becomes the centre of an unfolding melodrama, giving birth to a love requiring the highest sacrifice of all.
Director
Polish filmmaker ?ukasz Barczyk (b. 1974), graduated from the Lodz Film School in 1998 and has since directed eight films for small and large screens, among them: CHANGES (2003), HAMLET (2004), UNMOVED MOVER (2007) and ITALIANI (2011). In 2011 he became general director of the oldest Polish film studio, the KADR Studio, which has produced over 130 Polish films since 1955.
