Synopsis
When the great earthquake of 2012 destroys his high school’s filmmaking equipment, Keisuke, 15, looks forward to a dull summer. He is mistaken. A man who lives in a small Chinese village has unexpectedly donated new equipment along with an invitation to come shoot a film in China. Keisuke and his schoolmates not only get to make their movie, they learn about a little known incident at the end of World War II when some Japanese boys were left behind in China.
Director
Tetsuya Matsushima (b.1960) graduated in cinema from Nihon University’s school of art and now teaches in the same institution. His directorial credits include television dramas, documentaries and features.
