Synopsis
Eva and Alex have dated for three years and now they’ve decided to get married in the place where they fell in love, a tiny village in the English countryside. What Eva and Alex don’t realize is that their wonderfully romantic idea is about to become hell after an air traffic controllers strike keeps the groom and his guests from joining the bride and her group. Can love really conquer all?
Director
Spanish filmmaker Maria Ripoll studied directing at UCLA and the AFI in Los Angeles and made her directorial debut in 1996 with TWICE UPON A YESTERDAY starring Penelope Cruz. Among her subsequent films: THE MAN WITH RAIN IN HIS SHOES (1998, shown at the MWFF), TORTILLA SOUP (2011), UTOPIA (2003), MY LIFE IN ‘65 (2006), TRACES OF SANDALWOOD (2014, at the MWFF).
