Synopsis

In the lunar landscape of the Badain Jaran desert in northeast China men must relentlessly shovel the sand brought by the winds to keep the way clear for the launching of satellites.

 

Director

Born in Jiangsu Nantong, China in 1974, Liang Bixin graduated in film direction from the Beijing Film Academy and heads the military department of the August First Film Studio. Filmography: documentaries GOLD DIGGING, THE GREAT LOVE BETWEEEN HEAVEN AND EARTH and IN THE RYE, and the telefilm TIE YI CHANGHONG.
