Mathieu is a marine biologist. For over 35 years he had tried to finish his thesis on turbellaria, tiny parasites of marine organisms. The dissections that he performs all day long have completely taken him away from his true passion: being at sea. He lives with Agathe, a passionate dancer, but nothing of his relationship or his work seems to really affect him. He has become as cold as his microscope. Until the day when Christine, his stepmother, disappears.

Born in Brussels, Belgium in 1977, Géraldine Doignon directed her first film in 2000, her thesis film from IAD in Brussels, Not Finished, shown widely at student festivals. In 2003 her film Trop jeune earned the grand prize at the the Brussels Festival. Subsequent films include Comme personne (2006), also widely shown at festivals, and LIVING AFTERWARDS (2012), her first fiction feature.
