Synopsis
Through the experiences of a young woman jailed after an accident that caused the death of a 17-year-old boy, the film shows the hell that is prison life: sexual harassment, physical and psychological violence, and the obligation to submit without complaint. All these iniquities are products of the imagination of officials and prison guards, and of the prisoners among themselves to meet their personal desires. Justice, sole recourse of the weak, is mired in a system shaped by corruption, politics and influence peddling.
Director
Bukino Faso filmmaker Missa Hébié graduated from the Institut africain d’éducation cinématographique of Ouagadougou University, then continued his training in Canada and Europe. Selected filmography: M’biiga (1991), Sita (1995), LE FAUTEUIL (2009), EN ATTENDANT LE VOTE (2011), as well as several TV series and dramas.
