Synopsis
When Sungmi, transfers to her new school from Seoul, she immediately draws the attention of the boys. The class leader, Changguk tries his luck with Sungmi, but she isn’t interested. Sunja, who had been the most popular girl until Sungmi came, becomes jealous of Sungmi, a jealousy that blossoms into hate. When the mathematics teacher gives the students a problem to solve, no one, including Changguk and Sungmi, can come up with a solution. Chideok makes Sunho try the question on the board. Sungmi begins to take notice. Before long the mutual notice evolves into friendship. A summer romance begins...
Director
Born in Masan, South Korea in 1966, Yang Chan-seok attended commercial high school then art at Changwon University. He began his professional career in cable broadcasting but returned to train in filmmaking at Busan Graduate School. A few shorts soon followed. OUR LAST SUMMER marks his directorial debut in features.
