Synopsis

The world has irrevocably changed for Li Meiling when she gets out of prison. Standing in front of a dilapidated house, she remembers how she was sold in marriage to a stranger far from her home so that her brother would have money for his wedding. Now, her husband’s burial place is covered with wild grass and his younger brother, whom Li Meiling loved, has gone. She has regained her physical freedom, but her heart is trapped.
