Portrait d’un homme au grand cœur. Au cours de l'inspection des
pipelines, M. Shi Baolun, secrétaire du parti dans une centrale de
production pétrolière, a pris un voleur sur le vif en train de dérober du
pétrole brut. Avec l'aide de ses collègues, M. Shi l’a attrapé, mais ne l’a
pas puni ; il lui a plutôt prêté de l'argent pour le traitement médical de
sa mère. Ceci n’est qu’un exemple de la gentillesse de Mr. Shi, qui
réussit à influencer son prochain d’une manière positive.

Shi Baolun, Party Secretary at a remote oil production plant, is a good
Samaritan. When a man is caught stealing crude, Shi lets him go and
even lends him money for his mother’s medical treatment. Other
episodes reveal Shi’s brotherly love, which influences others and will be
returned in a gratifying manner.

unique. Elle est présentée à un homme d'affaires appelé Fan pour faire
du coaching d’acteurs dans son club privé. Elle devient sa maîtresse. Un
peintre, Song Sizhi, a vu sa prestation au théâtre dans la pièce de
l'opéra de Qunku, LE PAVILLON AUX PIVOINES, et il a été frappé de sa
ressemblance avec sa défunte femme, dont il n'a jamais surmonté la
mort. Tous deux entament une liaison. Mais leurs secrets personnels
inexprimés créent une tension et les empêchent d’atteindre l’amour idéal
dépeint dans l’opéra.

Ling Ge moves to Beijing with her only son. She is hired as an acting
coach at a club owned by Fan, who becomes her lover. When a widowed
painter, Song Sizhi, sees Ling Ge perform in the Kunqu opera, “The
Peony Pavilion,” he is struck by her resemblance to his dead wife and
woos her. Unspoken secrets prevent Ling Ge and Song Sizhi from
achieving ideal love as it is portrayed in the opera.

TRANSCENDANT

tragic stories involving these pseudo-human characters show that we
humans must fight to control our own destinies. A former race-car driver

the high heels – are not allowed to work in the factory. A high heel

Van vient d’avoir 60 ans. On lui apprend qu’il est atteint d’une grave

se déplacer au Japon. Van s’y rend avec son fils. À leur arrivée, Van se
met à la recherche de son père, qui l’avait abandonné il y a 50 ans. Mais
à ce même moment, un jeune homme ayant un lien mystérieux avec le
passé de Van entreprend un voyage de Hong Kong et Taïwan.

Two journeys of reconciliation take place when Van turns 60. He is told
that he is seriously ill and cannot receive optimal treatment in his home
country, Taiwan. His illness leads him to Japan, where he travels with his

gouvernement, mais ne sont pas très bien assimilées par les fermiers du
pays, voire même par les autorités qui ne comprennent pas totalement
leurs propres amendements, obsédés par le succès immédiat. Parfois,
ces attentes pour le moins irréalistes ne pouvait qu’aboutir en tragédie.

The life story of an ordinary man, Tianyou Zhao, is set against the
opening-up of the Chinese economy in the aftermath of the Cultural
Revolution. Reforms quickly imposed from above were not well
understood by the country’s farmers, nor were they always grasped by
